Dana’s Damned Fine Dipping Sauce

Yup. One of mine.

This recipe is adapted for my family’s tastes.

Ingredients

  • 1 t Sesame oil
  • 2 T Minced garlic
  • 2 T Minced ginger (or 1 t powdered)
  • 2 T Hoisin Sauce
  • 1 t Soy sauce
  • 1 T Red wine vinegar
  • ½ t Gochujang sauce
  • 4 T honey

Direction

  1. In a medium saucepan, mix the sesame oil, garlic, ginger, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, white wine, gochujang sauce, and honey on medium-high heat until simmering for a minute.
  2. If you wish, you can transfer it (when cooled sufficiently) to a blender and make it super smooth. For me, though, it’s fine.
  3. Store any remaining in a glass jar.
