Peanut-free Hoisin Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups soy sauce
  • 1 cup almond butter
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup sesame oil
  • ¼ cup Chinese hot sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 dashes cayenne pepper

Directions

  1. Combine in a sauce pan, heat on medium-low (because almond butter is hard to blend because it’s so damned thick).
  2. Mix until well blended.
  3. Store in a glass jar in the fridge.
